Genevieve Mendes Weaver
Genevieve is originally from Florence, South Carolina. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Clemson University's Calhoun Honors College in Clemson, South Carolina, and she was the recipient of a Palmetto Fellows Scholarship.
While at Clemson, Genevieve was a double major in Psychology and German. Her studies included numerous social and organizational psychology research studies, and one year spent abroad in Germany in 2006. In Germany, Genevieve was a German language and culture student at the Universität Dortmund. She also served as a team leader for 'Projekt Grosser Grenzverkehr,' in the former East German region, where she worked with youth from the former east and west to promote friendship and unity in the border towns.
Genevieve attended the University of Miami School of Law beginning in 2007, and was a member of the school's Mock Trial Team. Genevieve participated in several competitions each semester, and was a semi-finalist in the Florida Justice Association's Fall 2008 Competition. Genevieve also participated in the highly-regarded Litigation Skills program at UM where she was awarded two of the highest honors: The Thomas Ewald Memorial “Top Litigator” Award and The John F. Evans Memorial Scholarship Award.
In 2010, Genevieve graduated from law school, Cum Laude, and joined the law firm of Alan Goldfarb, P.A. She concentrates her practice on medical malpractice, premises liability, products liability, and other negligence. Genevieve is currently a member of the Dade County Bar Association, the Miami-Dade Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (FAWL), the Young Lawyers Division of the Florida Bar, and the Florida Justice Association.
